Executives and visionaries from around the globe gathered to discuss the “Innovation Highway” at the Alcatel-Lucent Innovation Day that took place in Vienna this week. Bulb Ltd., a leader in broadband service management and customer experience solutions as well as an Alcatel strategic channel partner, was pleased to be a part of the presentations and to experience the live demos of the latest Alcatel-Lucent technologies and solutions.

This year’s Innovation Day topic was “Innovation Highway”. Bulb believes that true “innovation” in the Innovation Highway will come from exceeding expectations and going beyond the norm. The company has offered automated diagnostics and service assurance since it was founded in 2006, just two years after the Broadband Forum TR-069 was introduced. Eight years later, expectations have changed to include advanced analytics and self-service portals.
Broadband service providers – fixed, cable, and mobile – tend to customers who expect fast and reliable service. Customers have virtually no tolerance for downtime, and operators need to know immediately if there is a problem. Bulb is on the cusp of that Innovation Highway. The company’s technology is working “behind the scenes”, making sure that the highway is accident-free, in a perfect maintenance state and open for traffic – or if there is a potential issue, sending the proper alerts so it can be fixed before it becomes a problem.
“The Innovation Highway takes us from innovations that Alcatel-Lucent and Bell Labs have brought to market such as 400G and XRS core routing, to small cells, customer experience management and cloud storage, to smart energy and advanced communications,” continued Rezar. “At Innovation Day, Bulb was able to demonstrate how our innovation projects are on-track with industry needs. We talked to experts and experienced live demos and presentations in the exhibition area and we are looking forward to future events.”
